10:45 Basketball (M) – PE vs NT

  • Team PEI men’s basketball lost a hard fought battle again team North West Territories with a tight score of 81-78.

10:45 Basketball (W) – PE vs NB

  • Team PEI women’s basketball has a great start in the first quarter against Team New Brunswick with an 18-15 lead. They fell short with a final score of 66-49 and Alex Newson lead all scores with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

11:00 Softball (W) – PE vs AB

  • Team PEI women’s softball faced Team Alberta in their second game of week and fell short in a 16-2 loss.

11:18 Rugby 7s (M) – PE vs YT

  • Team PEI men’s rugby had an exciting start to their week against Team Yukon with a 45-0 win.

12:30 Beach Volleyball (M) – PE vs QC

  • Team PEI men’s beach came out strong in their first game of competition with a close first set against Team Quebec, before falling behind in the second. Team Quebec ended up winning the match 2-0. Next game is August 12th, at 9:30 against Team Manitoba.

13:08 Rugby 7s (W)- PE vs YT

  • Team PEI women’s rugby came back firing after a tough loss this morning and dominated their game against Team Yukon winning 41-0.

13:30 Road Cycling (M)

  • On Cycling’s first day of competition at the 2025 Canada Summer Games, Calum Lea finished 36th and Kyle Garro finished 43rd in their individual time trials.

13:30 Beach Volleyball (W) – PE vs NL

  • Team PEI women’s beach volleyball had a hard fought match against Team Newfoundland but couldn’t hang on for another win. Team Newfoundland took the match 2-0 for Team PEI’s first loss of the games. Their final pool game is August 12th at 1:30 against Yukon.

14:00 Box Lacrosse (W) – PE vs NL

  • Team PEI female box lacrosse earned their first win at the Canada Games against Team Newfoundland and Labrador – marking history as Team PEI’s first ever box lacrosse win at a Canada Games. With six unanswered goals, their offense and defense were unstoppable. Next game for PEI is August 12th at 11:00am against Team Manitoba.

15:08 Rugby 7s (M) – PE vs QC

  • In men’s rugby second game of the day they fell short to Team Quebec 31-7.

16:00 Baseball (M) – PE vs MB

  • Two big foul catches for PEI to get out of the first inning. MB strands runners on 1st and 2nd. P.E.I. scores one in the second inning to lead 1-0 with Tyson Wedge with a double to drive in the first run. Manitoba answered back with two runs in the third inning to go up 2-1. PEI blows it open with a huge rally when Thomson doubles to score two and chases MB starting pitcher bottom of the 4th. Big inning with five runs scored and PEI goes up 6-2. PEI adds one more run in the 6th inning to go up 7-2. MB responds with a run of their own in the 6th to make it 7-3. P.E.I. retires the side in the 7th for a 7-3 victory on 14 hits vs 8 hits for MB.

16:30 Soccer (M) – PE vs YT

  • Men’s soccer defeated the Yukon 4-1. Goal scorers were Kai Dias with two, Harrison Munroe, and Cole Guindon. Next game will be cross overs on Thursday.

16:58 Rugby 7s (W) – PE vs SK

  • In women’s rugby sevens third game of the day they lost a low scoring nailbiter 17-10 to Team Saskatchewan.

18:04 Rugby 7s (M) – PE vs BC

  • Men’s rugby lost a tough battle to BC on the second day of competition with a final score of 40-10.
