  • Team PEI moves on to the consolation round tomorrow to determine whether they play for 5th/6th or 7th/8th place. This will be the best ever finish for Team PEI Tennis.

  • K1 (1 person kayak) Men’s 200m heats
    • Eric Batten, 48.594s – 9th
  • K4 (4 person kayak) Men’s 200m heats
    • PE 49.596s – 10th

08:30 Basketball (M) – consolation round – PE 83 vs YT 56

  • Team PEI men’s basketball secures a win against Yukon with a final score of 83-56.

09:00 Box Lacrosse (W) – 9th/10th place game – PE 9 vs NL 1

  • Team PEI Box Lacrosse finishes off their Canada Games experience with a big 9-1 win against Team NFLD. Ofcourse the game was followed by pictures, dancing, laughs, and memories being made with the home team. Box Lacrosse finished in 9th place overall.

10:00 Sailing

  • Ellis Starkes finished in 7th place today, improving from 10th place in the previous race. Nadia Carr finished in 6th place today, which leaves her in a tie for third place overall. The sailing competition continues on the 15th and 16th. PEI’s Double Handed 29er men’s team finished in 9th for the third straight race

11:00 Beach Volleyball (W) – PE 2 (15-21, 22-20, 15-11) vs YT 1

  • Wins two sets to one against Team Yukon.


11:00 Softball – 7th/8th place game – PE 4 vs SK 0

  • Team PEI women’s softball secure their best finish ever at a Canada Games, finishing 7th place after a big win against Team Saskatchewan. The girls played very well and their bats came in clutch when needed.


12:00 Beach Volleyball (M) – PE 0 vs BC 2 (21-14, 21-12)

  • Men’s beach volleyball fell two sets to zero to Team BC in their final preliminary game.


16:00 Beach Volleyball – women’s – Qualification – PE (0) vs NS (2)

  • Women lost two sets to zero to Team NS.


16:00 Beach Volleyball – men’s – Qualification – PE (2) vs NL (0)

  • Men’s volleyball won 2-0 over Team NFLD moving them on to the quarter finals against Team Ontario on August 15 at 1pm.


16:30 Soccer – men’s – Qualification round – PE (1) vs ON (4)

  • Team PEI was one minute away from a 0-0 halftime. Ontario scores in the 39th minute to make it 1-0. Team PEI offside strategy is effective in limiting Team Ontario attack with PEI ringing a shot off the cross bar on a breakaway earlier in the half. Harrison Munro scores a slide tackle goal in the second half tying the game 1-1 at the start of the second half. Men’s soccer now plays in the 7th/8th place game on August 15.


17:30 Basketball – women’s – Quarterfinal – PE (46) vs ON (103)

  • Team PEI went head to head in a tough game against Team Ontario with a final score of 103-46.
